The first release. Nine Boxes is in final testing.

• Nine numbered boxes. Save to one with ⌘⌃C and a digit, paste it back with ⌘⌃V and the same digit.
• The HUD. Hold the paste shortcut without pressing a digit and all nine boxes appear, numbered, with a preview of what is in each one.
• Type to search instead of counting. With the paste HUD open, start typing and boxes that do not match dim out.
• Boxes keep formatting, images and files, not only plain text. Pasting into a word processor keeps your formatting, and pasting the same item into a terminal gives plain text.
• History. Everything you copy is kept for 7 days so you can go back for something you did not save deliberately.
• Nothing your password manager copies is ever picked up. You can exclude other apps by name in Preferences.
• Everything is stored encrypted on your Mac, with a key that never leaves it.
• Emergency stop. Hold Escape for three seconds and Nine Boxes stops watching your keyboard.
• Erase everything, in one command, in under a second.
• Rebindable shortcuts, with conflict detection for the combinations macOS already uses.
• 26 MB of memory and no measurable CPU while you are not using it.

Requires macOS 14 or later. One universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel.
